Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most common questions about Casa México Tequila from how our tequila is crafted in the Highlands of Jalisco to the differences between Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Cristalino expressions. Explore the traditions, ingredients, and craftsmanship behind every bottle.

Casa México Blanco is an unaged tequila made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands. It highlights the natural flavors of agave with bright citrus notes, pepper, and a crisp finish.

The agave is slow-baked, naturally fermented, and double distilled in pot stills to produce a clean and vibrant spirit that showcases the pure essence of agave.

Blanco tequila offers fresh agave flavor with citrus, herbal notes, light pepper, and subtle fruit hints such as melon and pear.

Blanco tequila can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails such as margaritas, palomas, and tequila sodas.

Blanco tequila pairs well with seafood, ceviche, citrus salads, grilled shrimp, and light poultry dishes.

Casa México Blanco focuses on authentic agave flavor and clean distillation, allowing the natural character of the agave to remain the centerpiece.

Casa México Reposado is tequila aged for a minimum of six months in new American White Oak barrels, giving it a smooth and balanced character.

The barrel aging adds soft vanilla, cinnamon, and light oak notes while maintaining the fresh citrus and agave character of the spirit.

Reposado tequila develops a light golden color naturally from its contact with oak barrels during aging.

Typical flavors include sweet agave, vanilla, baking spices, light caramel, and citrus notes.

Reposado tequila is excellent neat, on the rocks, or in premium cocktails such as tequila old fashioned’s or reposado margaritas.

Reposado pairs well with grilled meats, roasted vegetables, glazed ham, and creamy dishes like mashed potatoes or mac and cheese.

Casa México Añejo tequila is aged for at least twelve months in oak barrels, creating a richer and more complex spirit.

Extended aging introduces deeper notes of caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, and warm spice, while preserving the natural agave character.

Añejo tequila typically has a deep amber color, obtained naturally from prolonged contact with oak barrels.

Añejo tequila is best enjoyed neat or in a sipping glass, similar to fine whiskey or cognac.

Añejo tequila pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, pecan pie, caramel desserts, and rich cheeses.

The longer aging process and careful barrel management create deeper flavors and complexity, making it ideal for sipping.

Cristalino tequila is an aged tequila that has been charcoal filtered to remove its color while preserving its rich flavor profile.

The tequila is first aged in oak barrels and then filtered to achieve crystal clarity while maintaining the depth of aged tequila.

Cristalino offers smooth and refined flavors with notes of honey, almond, vanilla, and light oak.

While Blanco is unaged, Cristalino is aged tequila that has been filtered, giving it both clarity and complex flavor.

Cristalino is typically enjoyed neat or lightly chilled to appreciate its smooth texture and subtle flavor layers.

Cristalino pairs well with light desserts, fruit dishes, soft cheeses, and elegant cocktails.

Casa México Tequila is crafted using 100% Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco Highlands, traditional slow-cooking methods, and small-batch distillation. The brand focuses on authenticity, natural flavor, and careful barrel aging to create a refined tequila experience.

Casa México distinguishes itself through new American White Oak barrel aging, traditional production techniques, and a commitment to highlighting the natural character of agave rather than masking it with heavy barrel influence.

Casa México was founded by Eric “Don Buccio” Buccio, together with partners Mario Lopez and Oscar De La Hoya, with the vision of creating a tequila brand that celebrates Mexican heritage and craftsmanship.

Casa México Tequila is produced in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, a region known for mineral-rich volcanic soil that produces sweeter and more complex agave.

Casa México offers a premium lineup including Blanco, Reposado, Añejo, and Cristalino, each crafted to highlight different aspects of agave flavor and barrel aging.

Casa México tequila can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails, depending on the expression. Blanco works well in cocktails, while Reposado, Añejo, and Cristalino are ideal for sipping.

The Jalisco Highlands shape every sip. Mineral-rich red volcanic soil, dramatic temperature swings and cool highland winds stress the agave. All these factors slow its growth and concentrate its sugars. The result is a naturally sweeter, more complex tequila with a vibrant, fruit-forward finish.

Most tequilas age in used barrels. Wood that’s already given its best. Casa México chooses new American White Oak, so every expression gets the full character of fresh wood: deeper vanilla, richer caramel and a spiced warmth you can taste.

Aged in American White Oak for six months then put through a three-phase carbon cellulose filtration, Casa México Cristalino keeps everything barrel aging builds and loses the color. What’s left is all-natural, ultra-smooth and crystal clear.

The brand was born from founder Don Buccio’s search for the perfect tequila to celebrate his wedding, creating a tequila designed for meaningful moments and shared celebrations.

Our advantage lies in the details: 100% estate-grown blue agave from high-altitude volcanic soil, double-distilled in stainless steel stills. This scientific approach to traditional methods results in a clean, additive-free spirit that captures the true essence of the agave.
